Pine Island Expands "Everyday Life" T-Shirt Line

Aug 29, 2007

Three years in the making, Pine Island Sportswear's Everyday Life line of raglan T-shirts pre-printed with lifestyle themes got off to a running start this year with 20 designs. "People want new, exciting and different items," says Daphne Koenigsberg, CEO of the Monroe, N.C., company. "This gets tougher as each year approaches."

Apparently, the Everyday Life concept is working, as the company says it's adding 23 new designs in 2008. The current selection includes such themes as outdoor sports, team sports, patriotism, safety and poker. "We've added five different military themes as well as camouflage in four colorways, EMS, healthcare, seven more sports...and more. And we've added ash gray bodies," says Koenigsberg.

What makes the product unique is that the sleeves are dyed and cut, screen printed and then assembled into the finished garment, which leaves the front and back for personalization and customization. Koenigsberg also points out that the product is made in the United States.

The short-sleeve shirts are 100% ringspun combed cotton jersey and sized from S to 3XL in adults. Four designs also are offered in youth sizes.

Pine Island introduced its Everyday Life line this spring and will be introducing its 2008 designs this fall at ISS Atlanta and ISS Fort Worth.
