Intuit Offers Free QuickBooks Accounting SoftwareOct 22, 2007Intuit Inc., the Mountain View, Calif., company behind QuickBooks, the accounting software that integrates with a number of decorated apparel industry software programs, has just announced the availability of QuickBooks Simple Start 2008, a free accounting software package for budding entrepreneurs. “The way business owners choose to manage their finances early can make or break a business,” says Rick Jensen, vice president of Intuit’s Small Business Division. “By making Simple Start free, we’re giving entrepreneurs the cornerstone for a solid financial foundation and future success. This way they can focus their energy on building their business, not worrying about their books.” According to the company, Simple Start is full-featured accounting software that tracks finances and helps users organize crucial business data — such as tax receipts, customer data and vendor information — and run key reports such as profit and loss. In related news, the company announced a nationwide “Just Start” campaign with a chance to win a $50,000 business startup grant. “Whether it’s someone working in their day job, a stay-at-home mom or a recent retiree, we’re looking to inspire anyone who dreams of starting their own business,” Jensen says.
