Alo Introduces a Slew of New Offerings for 2008

Los Angeles-based Alo, a performance sports apparel brand named after air, land and ocean that offers unique proprietary technologies and eco-friendly fabrics, recently introduced new styles, technologies and fabrics to its 2008 collection.

In addition to debuting its new bamboo lyocell performance fabric with naturally inherent properties that are moisture-wicking, anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic, Alo also introduced the Mini Thermal Knit and the Polyester Soft Shell fabrics. Great for all-season wear, the Mini Thermal Knit is a medium-weight thermal performance knit fabric featuring CoolFit technology and an added antimicrobial treatment. The Polyester Soft Shell features water-resistant technology and is a sleek, yet durable, multi-purpose performance fabrication that works alone or with other layers to help accommodate temperature changes more easily.

Alo fortifies its mission to help reduce its impact on the environment while positioning itself as a pioneer in the wholesale industry by utilizing eco-friendly materials. “We are at the forefront of the wholesale industry using eco-friendly materials and will continue introducing sustainable fabric mixes, such as bamboo in our wholesale collections,” says Daniel Harris, co-founder. “As a company we have committed ourselves to being as green as possible. We print all of our paper goods with recycled content, use environmentally friendly office materials and solvents in our facilities, and use high-efficiency lighting systems that save nearly 50% of the energy output in our warehouses.”

New wholesale styles for men include thermal polos, shorts and track pants, while new styles for women include bamboo racerback tanks, bamboo short-sleeve tees, bamboo long-sleeve tees, half-zip pullovers, runner’s shorts, water-resistant shell jackets and pants, and headbands.
