Boxercraft Details Green CampaignSept 8, 2009Boxercraft, Atlanta, recently announced that its efforts to go "green," starting with the release of a green campaign in 2008, are still going strong. The company pledged to become environmentally friendly by reducing, reusing and recycling. With its commitment, 96 trees and 2,280 gallons of oil will be saved each year with this initiative alone, according to the company. Details of the green campaign include: Each staff member receives free ceramic mugs and water bottles to reduce the use of paper and plastic cups; plastic, aluminum and cardboard recycling bins have been placed throughout the company's headquarters to promote recycling; and all employees have received a container for recycling paper that is collected monthly as a partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Waste Wise program. To continuously educate employees of effective ways to be more green, its green committee has created a green section on Boxercraft’s information board. This space is available for anyone to post articles, tips, facts and other information on all environmentally friendly matters. — J.L. RECENT INDUSTRY NEWS HEADLINES
