ISS New England Offers Business Solutions for Challenging Times

July 7, 2008

If you're trying to figure out how you're going to make it through the current economic downturn, then the upcoming Imprinted Sportswear Show (ISS) taking place July 18-20 might provide some options.

For starters, the conference program includes 11 sessions devoted to ways you can grow your business:

•    For small to mid-size embroidery shops, there are Frank Gawronski's seminars "Making Money with a Singlehead Machine" and "Production Efficiency in the Small Embroidery Shop."
•    For screen print shops of any size, there are Greg Kitson's "15 PROFITable Production Tips for Screen Printers" and Tom Vann's "Upselling Higher-End T-shirts."
•    For screen printers and embroiderers who want to diversify their business, the conference offers Patrick McGinnis' "Introduction to Inkjet-to-Garment Printing," Bob Robinson's "Understanding How a Vinyl Cutter and Heat Press Can Bring Versatility to Your Business" and Greg Kitson's "How to Grow Your Business with New Technology."

ISS New England also offers two very special educational programs, including a series of free promotional products seminars presented by the Promotional Products Association Intl. on Friday and Saturday, July 18 and 19.

In addition, Impressions magazine will be hosting a free forum titled "Dealing with the Downturn," from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. The panel features industry veterans Mark L.Venit, Tom Vann and Jimmy Lamb, who will be available to answer your questions and provide guidance for dealing with these challenging times.

Beyond the conference, you can expect the trade show floor to provide a peak at the latest trends in apparel and technology, including eco-friendly apparel and processes, performance wear, inkjet-to-garment printing, the new generation of printer/cutters for heat-applied graphics, laser appliqué technology and more.

In addition, five lucky attendees will have the opportunity to win $1,000 each to use toward the purchase of apparel, equipment and supplies from nearly 100 exhibiting companies.
