Impressions Announces All-Digital EcoImpressions

Feb 15, 2008

To answer the need for knowledge about “green” products and processes in the decorated apparel and promotional products industries, Impressions is launching a quarterly publication — ecoImpressions — with two editions in 2008 devoted to information and education on eco-friendly products and sustainable practices.

These special editions will be published entirely in a digital format in June and September, and quarterly in 2009, with a digital announcement delivered to subscribers of Impressions’ e-newsletters.

“The green movement has clearly taken off in the decorated apparel industry,” says Brian Pagel, vice president of Nielsen Business Media’s Apparel Group and publisher of Impressions. “As we saw the number and variety of eco-friendly apparel, accessories and decoration products exhibited at our Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS) grow, we also saw the opportunity to educate the decorated apparel industry on how to market those products, as well as adapt sustainable practices for their own businesses.

“Given our experience publishing digital editions of Impressions magazine, the idea of an all-digital vs. paper edition for ecoImpressions just seemed like the right thing to do.”

EcoImpressions will include features on apparel and accessories trends, sustainable practices, marketing and merchandising eco-friendly apparel, and sourcing solutions for garments, accessories and decoration products. The publication complements the Green Pavilion at ISS that currently provides ISS attendees the opportunity to preview the latest eco-friendly products prior to entering the show.

To opt in to the mailing list for ecoImpressions, visit impressionsmag.com and subscribe to the Impressions Product Guide e-newsletter. If you are currently an Impressions Product Guide subscriber, you will automatically receive ecoImpressions. — R.L.
