Anatol Debuts New Operating SystemJune 20, 2011Anatol Equipment Manufacturing Co., Buffalo Grove, Ill., has debuted its GUI touchscreen system for screen printing equipment that allows users to access most settings from the main menu. Simply tapping on the number/location of a print head will bring up the head setup options for that print head. From here, users can change it to a flash and change the flash settings. Also, users can enable the stepback program with a simple tap on the stepback icon. Or if it is a print head, users can change the dwell times or the number of strokes. Other main menu options include setting the start and finish, homing, accessing the settings menus for the indexer and counter, resetting after an error or fault, lift table, and moving the indexer left or right, according to the company. Icons are displayed in the center of the screen to show any alerts or information about the machine. In addition to several counters, users will be told if it needs to be homed, if the indexer is disengaged, if the table is up, if the machine is at half-index, if a safety bar is open, if Emergency Stop is engaged and if there is a machine error. If an icon is lit, users know they will need to take care of that problem before starting the machine, according to the company. For more information, visit anatol.com. — S.G. RECENT HEADLINES
