BITO Features Automatic Rhinestone Setting Machine

October 01, 2010

BITO, Oceanside, N.Y., now offers Flexi-Stone — a rhinestone-setting machine that allows users to create rhinestone transfers or affix rhinestones directly to a garment, according to the company.

Flexi-Stone uses high-frequency welding to melt the adhesive on the back of the rhinestone and permanently bond it to the apparel. In addition, it comes with an interchangeable hoop attachment, allowing users to transfer a hooped garment from the embroidery machine to the rhinestone setter in order to combine the two design techniques.

According to the company, Flexi-Stone comes with six color changes and can accommodate stones from 2mm to 6mm in size. It can deposit up to 100 stones per minute and features a user-friendly, soft-touch screen display.

The Flexi-Stone machine is programmable and automatically controlled through a software program called StoneCad, which aids in rhinestone/nailhead designs, as well as in multimedia when combining embroidery, laser and stones.
