BITO Offers Spartacus Manager Software

February 11, 2011

BITO, Oceanside, N.Y., now offers Spartacus Manager, a new tool that can be added to a galvanometric laser cutter.

With Spartacus Manager, which consists of a flat-panel mini PC computer and software, users can queue up multiple embroidery jobs to the cutter so that production can be continuous. Additionally, with the natural speed of a galvanometic laser, jobs can be processed at an enhanced speed that easily can keep up with a multihead embroidery machine. Multiple operators can send designs to the machine, pick them up when done and the next job starts automatically, according to the company.

The new software is said to work best for cutting appliqués and creating new looks, such as distressed, reverse and multilayer. It can be used to cut out emblems or printed pieces. It also can do hard goods such as paper, textiles, anodized aluminum, non-toxic polymers, Plexiglas and leather.

The Spartacus Manager works hand-in-hand with Focuscut III software, which comes with the laser cutter. Users can change a variety of parameters, including laser power and speed. The laser can be adjusted for products of varying thicknesses by adjusting the cutting bed height, according to the company.
