Bodek and Rhodes Affirms CPSIA ComplianceOctober 06, 2009While the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) recently granted a one-year stay on testing and certification until 2010, Bodek and Rhodes, Philadelphia, has provided proof of safety and fair labor statements from all its suppliers. In August 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) created the CPSIA to enhance and clarify product safety laws in the U.S. This law also governs some wearables items and requires imported products to prove adherence to CPSC safety regulations with a General Conformity Certificate. To help protect end users’ safety and to protect customers’ businesses from lawsuits resulting from non-conformance with this act, Bodek and Rhodes has provided confirmation that all applicable products are manufactured within CPSIA requirements.
