Graphtec America Releases i-DesignR Pro

August 10, 2010

Graphtec America, Santa Ana, Calif., recently announced the release of i-DesignR Pro design software for apparel decoration, vinyl sign and print-and-cut applications.

i-DesignR Pro is the company’s exclusive graphic design software for use with the CE5000 and FC8000 series cutting plotters. The software includes powerful vector editing functions, import filters and automatic rhinestone fill patterns applied to your original artwork or clipart.

The software also includes a full Swarovski rhinestone library, rhinestone count and project cost capabilities, as well as multiple automatic fill patterns. Designs created with i-DesignR Pro also can be cut using heat transfer material, such as flock and colorful foils to create personalized shirts, sportswear, caps and more, according to the company.

For traditional sign applications, i-DesignR Pro includes more than 1,100 fonts, a font detective function that finds existing system fonts and a font creator that enables users to make one-of-a-kind fonts tailored to specific projects. The software also includes clipart importing capabilities, object and text scaling and fitting to a path, and popular file formats like .eps and .pdf are supported, according to the company.

i-DesignR Pro also supports the Advanced Registration Mark Sensing (ARMS) system found on the CE5000 and FC8000 series, enabling contour cutting and die cutting of preprinted graphics for short-run labels and decals.
