M&R Introduces i-Dot 2100 PrinterJune 16, 2010
The i-Dot 2100 includes the i-Pak Bulk Ink System, which supports a dual CMYK print engine that increases print speed while reducing ink costs, according to the company. The printer also is compatible with M&R’s proprietary i-Color RIP software, which reproduces most graphic files with no preparation. The company’s i-Color RIP software quickly converts digital art files into printable images while minimizing print time. And since white and light-colored garments don’t require pretreatment, i-Dot 2100 is ideal for high-volume runs of light-colored garments, according to the company. The printer also includes Absolute Position Technology (APT), which enables repeat registration. APT also includes a servo amplifier, PLC controller and a servomotor-driven linear actuator. The APT system enables i-Dot to print multiple layers with layer-to-layer accuracy, according to the company. The i-Dot 2100 startup kit includes a computer and workstation, the i-Pak Bulk Ink System, eight i-Clean cartridges for printhead flushing, startup containers of i-Tack pallet adhesive and i-Clean solution for cleaning individual printheads and dampers, as well as for general printer maintenance. The printer also comes with a 14” x 20.5” pallet, but can print images up to 16” x 20”. For more information, visit mrprint.com. – J.L. RECENT HEADLINES
