Vastex Releases 2010 Start-Up Screen Printing Training DatesDecember 17, 2009Vastex Screen Printing Equipment, Allentown, Pa., is offering an intensive training program designed to help newcomers "avoid many of the issues that come up as they are learning to screen print," according to the company. All classes will be held at the company's corporate headquarters and includes basic technical training on screen preparation, exposure, flashing, curing, screen cleaning and reclaiming, athletic numbering, inks and more. The classes also are ideal for experienced printers who never had formal training and who may find their self-taught techniques can be improved, according to the company. Developed and taught by veteran screen printer Douglas Grigar, the course is based on DACUM (Develop a Curriculum) guidelines and offers an in-depth level of technical and troubleshooting information. Upcoming 2010 dates for the three-day classes are: • Jan. 29-31 • March 19-21 • May 14-16 • July 16-18 • Sept. 17-19 • Nov. 12-14 Students can enroll at any time, but seating is limited.
