Wilcom, Corel Unveil Updated Decorating Software

Wilcom DecoStudio e2 and EmbroideryStudio e2 — both integrated with CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5 — feature enhancements and upgrades to improve efficiency in multi-decoration design.

Wilcom Intl., Sydney, Australia, and Corel Corp., Ottawa, Canada, recently announced updated versions of DecoStudio e2 and EmbroideryStudio e2, both integrated with CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5.

The enhancements to these versions were designed to improve efficiency in multi-decoration design, customer approvals and production, according to the companies.

“This intuitive and time-saving solution redefines what’s possible in the multi-decoration industry, combining our flagship graphics offering, CorelDraw Graphics Suite X5, with the power and quality from Wilcom DecoStudio and EmbroideryStudio,” says Gerard Metrailler, senior director of product management and graphics, Corel Corp.

DecoStudio and EmbroideryStudio e2 allow users to create rhinestone fill shapes, runs and patterns easily. The products also include a collection of garment templates so that users can visualize the design as a finished product. The Hoop it! tool shows the design in the most appropriate embroidery machine hoop, which helps streamline the embroidery production process.

The suite’s core applications include CorelDraw X5 for vector illustration and page layout, Corel PhotoPaint for image editing, CorelPowerTRACE for converting bitmap images into vectors and Corel Capture for screen capture.

EmbroideryStudio e2 offers features for decorating team uniforms, creating new stitch effects and sequin-filled shapes, and exporting multi-decoration designs.
