Plackets are a powerful force in the decorated apparel market as their popularity in the corporate, service and athletic wear industries continues to grow. Now that the classic look is being revived in everyday fashion, plackets are stepping out beyond these industries and onto the runways. The Hanes Stedman cotton piqué sport shirt is made from 100% cotton and features a higher stitch density. Men's style 055X and women's 035X come in several colors.

This 6.5-ounce 100% cotton piqué placket from Jerzees (style 440M) features a seamless body, double-needle hemmed bottoms, and welt-knit sleeve bands and collars. Men's sizes S-3XL come in 17 colors, while size 4XL comes in 10 colors.

This IZOD 100% polyester sport shirt from S&S Activewear features Cool FX body mapping techno fabric and a vented design to keep the wearer cool and dry. Adult sizes S-2XL come in an array of colors.

This women's short-sleeve golf shirt from Royal Apparel (style 5003) is made from 4.4-ounce ring-spun cotton fine jersey and features a self-fabric collar, three-button placket and double-needle stitching on the sleeves and bottom hem. Sizes S-2XL come in several fashion-forward colors.

Augusta Sportswear's color block sport shirt is made from 100% polyester and features a heat-sealed label, self-fabric collar and raglan sleeves. Men's style 5086 comes in sizes S-5XL.

This UltraClub organic polo (style 8605) from Bodek and Rhodes is made from 100% organic cotton grown via eco-friendly agriculture without harmful or synthetic chemicals.

The Starter moisture-wicking polo from Game Sportswear is made from polyester mesh and features an anti-bacterial treatment. Ladies' style 121L is available in sizes S-3XL in 37 two-tone colors.

This juniors polo from Kavio (style 0265-000) is made from 100% cotton and features a knit collar, three-button placket and side slits. Sizes S-XL come in nine colors.

Made from 55% cotton/40% nylon/5% Lycra spandex, KayLeigh Design's five-button placket features an open neck, ¾-length sleeves and pearl-toned buttons. Sizes XS-4XL come in seven colors.

Outer Banks' fashion polo for women (style OB17) features a no-curl collar, four-button placket with pearl buttons and topstitched shoulders, armholes, bottom hem and collar. Sizes S-3XL come in five color combinations.

This 6.5-ounce 100% ring-spun cotton piqué sport shirt from Monag features a two-button placket and side vents. Nine sizes for infants, toddlers and youth come in eight colors.

Made from 40% cotton/60% polyester, River's End Trading Co.'s Solar Shield sport shirt (style 3690) features UV protection and a three-button placket with hemmed open sleeves and knit collar. Sizes S-3XL come in three colors.

Alo's 100% polyester mini thermal knit polo (style M1008) features three buttons, side vents at the hem, moisture-wicking capabilities and an antimicrobial treatment to prevent bacterial growth. Men's sizes S-2XL come in five colors.

Style M2030 from Roochi is made from 100% ring-spun cotton and comes in seven solid colors.

Bella's Henley (style 8150) features a lengthier silhouette, ¾-length sleeves and a six-pearl button placket. This 100% cotton jersey style come in sizes S-2XL.

Alstyle Apparel's 6.8-ounce 100% ring-spun cotton placket features three buttons, vent tail, welted collar and is side-seamed for a tailored fit. Sizes S-3XL come in nine colors.

FeatherLite by Sierra Pacific offers its men's piqué golf shirt, which is constructed from 58% cotton/37% polyester/5% Lycra spandex. It features a welt collar, half-moon back yoke and side vents. Sizes S-6XL are offered.

This 100% cotton placket from Blake & Hollister (style 721) features a subtle pebble jacquard design and Moisture Guard to keep the wearer cool and dry. Men's sizes S-3XL come in four classic color combinations.

Fruit of the Loom's label-free Athletic Henley (style 20H3OR) is made from 6.1-ounce 100% cotton and features a two-button placket, and double-needle cover stitching on the rib neck and armholes. Sizes S-2XL are available in up to nine colors.

The Heisman sport shirt from Tonix Corp. (style 737) is constructed from 5-ounce 100% SoftCool moisture-wicking fabric. It features tagless labeling, double-needle stitching throughout and an extended back tail. Sizes S-4XL come in 13 team colors.

This piqué shirt from WinnerMate (style 5600) is made from 60% cotton/40% polyester and features a curl-resistant five-ply collar and pearl buttons. Sizes S-3XL come in 15 colors.

The Frequency sport shirt from Holloway Sportswear (style 2437) features a bi-color design with inserts, fine gauge filament rib-trim collar, three-button placket, raglan sleeves and split side welts. Sizes S-4XL come in many colors.

Style 7300 from Forest & Hue features a banded double-welt tipped cuff and collar, split tail and double-needle hemmed stitching throughout. Men's sizes XS-6XL come in five color combinations.

This 7-ounce 100% ring-spun cotton Quail Hollow polo (style 3300) from Delta Apparel features a contoured welt collar and cuffs, taped neck and edge-stitched placket with three wood-tone buttons.

Wickid's Endurance polo (style 1818) is made from 55% cotton/45% polyester and features double-needle stitching throughout, side vents, locker patch and pearl-tone buttons. Sizes XS-6XL come in 10 color combinations.

This classic baseball/softball placket shirt from Dalco Athletic is made from 100% polyester mini mesh and features a left-chest pocket, extended tail and oversized chest. Sizes S-5XL come in several colors.
