Air Waves Inc., Columbus, Ohio, debuted OnDemand, the company’s new apparel application, on Sept. 30.
The app is available in the Shopify app store and allows consumers to take their designs and transform them into buyable, wearable shirts. The user can peruse garment types and colors, and decide on a price.
OnDemand is intended to assist startups and small garment businesses in printing, distributing and selling their products. Because every order is shipped on demand, there is no need for inventory, according to the company.
“With this app, Air Waves leverages 35 years of technology and capacity developed for large retailers providing unparalleled speed and quality to masses of start up apparel brands,” says Kyle Kantner, president of Air Waves Inc.
All shipping and handling is overseen by the Air Waves production facility. The app is free and customers will only be charged once their product has been purchased. Once the customer’s item is bought, payment is delivered to the store owner. Printing and shipping costs are deducted from a preregistered card. — M.Q.
