Brother Intl. Corp., Bridgewater, N.J., will introduces nine new dealer machines, as well as new accessories and software, this fall.

New introductions include a combo machine called THE Dream Machine Innov-is XV8500D, a premier top-of-the-line machine offering industry-first features, with more than 100 improved features and enhancements, according to the company.

Highlights of THE Dream Machine include the My Design Center, an industry-first, next-generation feature that is enhanced to integrate the power of InnovEye 2 Technology, according to the company. It offers users new design capabilities at their fingertips without a PC, enabling them to draw directly on the LCD display with the included stylus tool. Or they can use the new ScanImation frame, which scans line art, handwriting or printed clip art and transforms it into embroidery data without external devices, a PC or software. Additionally, a built-in, high-speed USB thumb drive can import clip art or images into the machine.

Brother also is introducing a new generation of sewing and embroidery machines: The Q-Series, two new Disney machines with embroidery capabilities, the new Innov-is 990D value-priced combo model and the PE540D embroidery-only machine.

Additionally, there will be additions to the Simplicity by Brother line with the SB7900E embroidery-only machine and to the Project Runway line, and ScanNCut is celebrating its one-year anniversary.
