A4 Goes Green with Recycled Polyester
A4, manufacturer of premium sportswear and team uniforms, is now making all its most popular apparel, and the vast majority of its line, with recycled polyester.
FULL STORYWilliamson-Dickie Mfg. Co., Fort Worth, Texas, and Milliken & Co., Spartanburg, S.C., have collaborated under Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co.’s flagship Dickies brand to produce a new performance work shirt.
The shirt uses Milliken & Co.’s innovative textile technology to deliver enhanced lightweight, moisture-wicking and soil-release properties with the addition of stretch, according to the company. The fabric technology also offers an 80% increase in breathability.
These improvements were the result of a long-term project and partnership between Dickies and Milliken & Co., which have collaborated for more than 17 years.
The new work shirt is available in long- and short-sleeve versions, and in black, dark navy, charcoal and desert sand. The shirt is available for purchase now at williamsondickie.com, amazon.com, Sears and other workwear retailers nationwide.
