Dickies, SPI Partner on Chef Wear Line
Dickies, Fort Worth, Texas, and licensee Strategic Partners Inc. (SPI) recently announced an expanded partnership for a new line of chef wear, including shirts, coats, pants and aprons.
The partnership between the two companies already includes performance workwear for healthcare professionals, and this expansion will grow the apparel offerings to include the restaurant and hospitality industry. The new line will be introduced in June.
“Chefs need to concentrate not the kitchen, not the clothing they are wearing,” says Michael Penn, senior vice president of international sales, licensing and marketing, Dickies North America. “With the proven quality and comfort of SPI product, paired with the Dickies legacy of durability and functionality, we are confident our new Dickies chef wear line will deliver exceptional performance benefits to the prep line.”
The line will include an executive chef coat with fluid-resistant technology that repels liquids and allows the fabric to breath while providing long-lasting protection, according to the company. Dickies chef wear will be sold online and through specially uniform stores.
