Gildan Activewear Announces Board of Director Nominees

Gildan Activewear, Montreal, has announced that Shirley Cunningham and Patrik Frisk have been nominated to its Board of Directors, and both will be voted on by shareholders at their next annual meeting on May 4.

Cunningham is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Ag Business and Enterprise Strategy for CHS Inc., a global energy, grains and foods company. She has more than 25 years of global experience in information technology and business management. She currently serves on the boards of Ardent Mills LLC and Ventura Foods LLC. She also recently was elected to the board of Kemira Oyj, a Finnish global chemicals company.

Frisk most recently was CEO of The Aldo Group, as well as a member of its board of directors. The company is a global fashion retailer specializing in the design and production of footwear and accessories. He was with the company until March 31, and now acts as a consultant. He also has worked in leaderships roles at VF Corp., Outdoor Americas, Timberland and Outdoor and Action Sports. — J.L.
