The results for the 2015 Impressions Awards are in! For months, decorators of all sizes and experience levels submitted their entries for the 37th annual Impressions Awards, the industry’s most prestigious apparel decorating contest.
The 2015 competition was judged at the Fort Worth Imprinted Sportswear Show (ISS), which was held Oct. 15-17 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Impressions staff would like to thank the following judges who once again evaluated this year’s entries: Dane Clement, Great Dane Graphics; James Ortolani, Stahls’ DFC; Charlie Taublieb, Taublieb Consulting; Richard Bloedow, GS USA; Deborah Jones, MyEmbroideryMentor.com; Jimmy Lamb, Sawgrass Technologies; Lee Caroselli-Barnes, Balboa Threadworks Inc.; and Alan Howe, Tech Support Screen Printing Supplies.
The winners are as follows:
The overall Grand Champion Award was given to “Portrait of Thomas Jefferson,” which was submitted by Zhanna Plaksina, Quito, Ecuador. That entry also was awarded the distinction of Grand Champion of Embroidery. The Grand Champion of Screen Printing was awarded to “Wooden Eagle,” submitted by Gelisim Tekstil, Istanbul, Turkey.
