Kickstarter Campaign Launched to Support Apparel Decorator

October 16, 2014

Keith Zasowski from Insane Apparel, Centereach, N.Y., recently lost his shop to a flood and his employees have started a Kickstarter campaign to help raise money.

The damages, which were not covered under Zasowski’s insurance, total more than $200,000. His computer-to-screen (CTS) system and folder/bagger are beyond repair, and many items in the shop had to be thrown away due to sewer contamination.

If the campaign raises $2,000, a number of companies are willing to give store credit in amounts of $100-$1,000, including Nazdar, Action Engineering, Shurloc and M&R. The employees who started the campaign are asking for store credit or donation of supplies rather than monetary offerings.

Zasowski is back up and running with some basic equipment, but needs cash flow to help him survive. Anything will help and if the goal is reached, the industry will donate, too.
