FULL STORYPenn Emblem Co., Philadelphia, recently announced that its Mexico location has received Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) certification.
WRAP is the world’s largest independent certification program mainly focused on the apparel, footwear and sewn products sectors. WRAP takes a collaborative approach to social compliance certification. It works with facilities to ensure they remain in compliance with the 12 WRAP principles. This requires that the facilities actively engage in the process themselves and see to it that effective management systems are maintained to ensure compliance requirements are met.
The certification signals that Penn Emblem “promotes safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing” in accordance with WRAP guidelines, according to the company.
