The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), Fairfax, Va., recently announced that Ford Bowers of Miller Zell Inc. will become the association’s new president and CEO, effective Feb. 1, 2016.
Bowers will succeed Michael Robertson, who has led the association for nearly 33 years.
During the past nine years, Bowers served as the vice president of operations for Miller Zell Inc. and the general manager of the Miller Zell Graphic Center. He led the company through the transition from analog to mostly digital print production. He also attained G7 qualification in several printing methodologies, as well as SGP certification.
Robertson announced his intent to retire this past June. His 33 years of service include 15 years as president and CEO, during which he oversaw exponential advancement in the industry and the association.
