SGIA Recognizes Apparel Graphics Inc.
Apparel Graphics Inc., Oakdale, Calif., was recognized at the 2016 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo with gold and bronze awards in the Simulated Process Screen Printing on Dark Garments category.
“I am very proud of our entire team,” says Paul Riva, owner, Apparel Graphics Inc. “Our work was compared to the best in the world, and we came out on top. That’s quite an accomplishment.”
The Golden Image Competition elicited 500 submissions from more than 70 companies in 53 product categories. This year’s competition was a difficult one to judge due to the large number of submissions. according to Johnny Shell, SGIA’s vice president of technical services.
“The judges had a very difficult time this year, not because of the sheer volume of entries, but because of the overall quality of the work,” he says. “Judges in virtually every category told me the entries were so good that choosing winners was a real challenge.” — M.Q.
