Mary Jo Tomasini, CEO of CE Competitive Edge LLC, Stevensville, Mich., recently took the gavel as chair of the board of directors for Promotional Products Association Intl. (PPAI), Irving, Texas, at the recent PPAI Expo.
“I am humbled by the privilege to serve as 2017 chair of the board for PPAI,” Tomasini says. “I truly believe in the power of this organization and in its dedication to members, and am delighted to chair and represent the great talent and expertise that is embodied within the membership.”
Tomasini founded CE Competitive Edge in 1993 and has transformed it into one of the largest promotional products companies in the industry, according to the association. She is a member of the Michigan Promotional Products Association, has served as chair of PPAI’s Government Relations Advisory Council and is a Michigan delegate for PPAI’s Legislative Education Action Day.
Tomasini, in a recent address, outlined her vision for the year and the future of the association and industry. Her new strategic plan will help PPAI transform the organization’s mission from transactional to relational, with an emphasis on establishing a deeper relationship and more engagement with members. The association also will launch a new branding campaign, “Get In Touch! Advertising That Lives On,” that will focus on customer engagement. — J.L.
