A4, manufacturer of premium sportswear and team uniforms, is now making all its most popular apparel, and the vast majority of its line, with recycled polyester.
FULL STORYUnifi Inc., Greensboro, N.C., is collaborating with Feld Entertainment to help host a green event Oct. 9-12 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Unifi, maker of REPREVE and creator of the #TurnItGreen initiative, will help Marvel Universe LIVE! recycle more than 10,000 plastic bottles into concourse signage, and cast and crew apparel.
“Marvel Universe LIVE! is a great platform to help spread the word about the power of recycling to our next generation,” says Juliette Feld, Feld Entertainment executive vice president and Marvel Universe LIVE! producer. “We are excited to join the #TurnItGreen campaign with our biggest show to date in an effort to show our commitment to sustainability.”
Repreve is a fiber made from recycled materials, including plastic bottles. The #TurnItGreen initiative helps raise awareness of using Repreve-based fibers in place of non-recycled fibers in products ranging from jackets, T-shirts and hats to pants and banners. Through the help of brands like Beija Flor, Haggar, Patagonia, Swiftwick, Dri-Release and local printing company Graphic Visual Solutions, Repreve will supply Marvel Universe LIVE! with pants, jackets, socks and base layer T-shirts for the cast and crew, as well as banners.
