March 4, 2015

bernette, Aurora, Ill., which is marketed and sold by BERNINA, introduces its Embroidery Software Customizer.

The new bernette software makes it easy for users to create personalized designs by combining lettering, monogram frames and appliqué designs, according to the company. Embroidery designs can be further customized with color and thread preferences and lettering with unique fill stitches.

The software comes with 78 embroidery designs, 24 appliqué designs and monogramming frames. Lettering is created using Windows TrueType fonts and can be sized from less than an inch to more than 2 inches. The bernette Embroidery Software Customizer is compatible with bernette’s Chicago 7 and Deco 340 embroidery machines, as well as embroidery machines from any brand.

Other features include 30 fill stitches and auto-underlay stitching for enhanced lettering. Designs also can be scaled, rotated, mirrored and combined with lettering to create a personal monogram. With the BERNINA CutWork tool, 44 appliqué designs also can be cut out and stitched. Additionally, users can add their own hoop sizes and preview the stitching sequence with the “slow redraw” function.

The bernette Embroidery Software Customizer is Windows 7 and Windows 8 compatible and can be installed using a personal computer’s CD or DVD drive. Designs are created on the computer and transferred to the embroidery machine via a USB stick. They can be opened and saved in multiple formats including ART 70 and EXP.
