AnaJet Inc.'s SPRINT printer features a new print head, print engine, and closed loop ink delivery system. It automates most of maintenance and requires no regular print head cleaning. AnaJet also released revamped software specifically developed for printing more accurate and vibrant colors and high-res photorealistic images on the SPRINT.

Kornit unveiled an "entry-level" printer, the 921 Breeze, aimed at shops that want a Kornit direct-to-garment machine (with integrated pretreatment, light and dark printing) for about $50,000 to $60,000. It can run off any desktop computer, requires no air compressor and ships with Kornit's QuickP RIP. Deliveries are expected to start in early 2010.

The dual-platen Brother GT-782 inkjet printer is targeted at medium- to high-volume shops. It reduces cycle times and allows fast downloading of new images. It requires significantly less operating space and lower start-up costs than investing in two printers. It allow decorators to create individual shirts or print mass production runs.

i-Group Technologies' Viper XPT is an automated pre-treating machine designed to save the user time and money when pre-treating garments for white ink printing via direct-to-garment inkjet printers. An improved touch screen has four user-definable buttons to vary the amount of pre-treatment applied by six spray heads

The new Pre-Treat Express from Lawson Screen & Digital Products will quickly and consistently apply pretreatment spray to blank apparel in any inkjet-to-garment print workflow. An operator, who loads a shirt on the plexi-shirt board, presses Start and then unloads a finished shirt in less than 10 seconds. Ready work right out of the box with 120-volt service.

The Digital Knight DK20 clamshell heat press from Dalco Athletic now features an updated back-lit controller with digital pressure gauge. The DK20 also has an improved auto-release pop-up option with the "Hover" feature included at no extra charge. It also has a pre-press timer, improved programmable presets, more accurate temperature range to 600ºF, and the brightest and largest display in the industry.

Digital Art Solutions Smart Garment Printing System is based on the Digital Art Solutions ASSET concept: Artwork + Software + Support + Equipment + Training = Success. The Mug Press from Hix Corp. makes it easy to print bright, colorful and permanent images and graphics on mugs, dog bowls, tankards and more. The process is simple; output a sublimation print, attach to mug or other product, put the transfer and item into the HIX tool-less Mug Press and bake. Most convection toaster ovens can produce up to 16 mugs per hour. HIX also offers a Conveyor Oven for high production.

Veloci-Jet is a new digital inkjet garment printer from Equipment Zone (formerly the largest independent distributor of T-Jet printers from the now-defunct U.S. Screenprint). This value-priced machine has a large (13"x 24") bed and comes equipped with refillable EZ Pro Bulk Ink system. The Veloci-Jet prints light shirts in one pass and dark shirts with white ink underlay in two.

The Maxi-Press Air Automatic large-format heat press from Geo. Knight brings automatic production to the decades-old, low-cost manual MaxiPress. It provides fast, push-button applied force up to 10 tons. Available with rigid twin-station loading tables for dual productivity. Capable of pressing full beds of tile, signage, textiles and much more. Designed for large-format sublimation heat pressing, laminating and bonding applications

Hirsch Intl. offers exclusive distribution of a removable dual platen designed for the Mimaki GP604 digital inkjet printer. With it, the user can print two shirts or the platens can be pushed together to do oversize designs up to 24" x 16". The dual platens also work well for split-front shirts, zippers and other uneven garment features by separating the platens slightly, using the space between to sink the button or zipper below printing level.

Fabric laser-cutting is now available for singlehead embroidery machines via the patented Proel E-Laser system from Bito USA. The system uses the embroidery machine frame movement to guide the laser, which can can be attached to any model singlehead machine. The laser head is mounted 1 1/2 inches above the fabric and cutting is accurate to within 1/100th of an inch.

The Hotronix Auto Clam features hands free magnetic auto-open and magnetic-assist lockdown. This technology gives the user semi-automatic functionality without requiring an air compressor. A patented Twin Timer feature allows the user to program two independent time settings — ideal for tacking, pre-heating garments, two-color applications, texturing, and more.

Condé Systems introduces its GX Series Printer Driver Installation Software, an easy-to-use download that takes the guesswork out of configuring a Ricoh GX7000 or GX5050N printer for sublimation output. The two Ricoh models have emerged as excellent sublimation transfer printers — the first non-Epson printers supported by Condé Systems.

Sydney, Australia-based Impression Technology International Pty Ltd. is the manufacturer behind the new used in DTG brand inkjet garment printers. One Pass produces fast prints with exceptional colors via a unique, easy-to-use RIP. One Pass is currently available only on DTG brand Kiosk 3 and Viper model printers.

The Idek d2 238 commercial heat press from Printa Systems has two 14" x 17" platens. A QuikClik placement lock allows platens to be switched from portrait to landscape. A digital control console can be programmed with presets for a range of different types of transfers including vinyl, inkjet, laser, plastisol, and sublimation.

Sawgrass Technologies has introduced ChromaBlast-R for the Ricoh GX7000 printer. The system offers commercial print speeds, low image costs and reliable output. ChromaBlast-R ink and transfer media produce a vibrant, lasting print with a soft hand that OEM inks and conventional transfer paper can’t match.

Imprintables Warehouse presents Spectra Solar 210, a digital cutter material for awnings and other products with a low melting temperature. PVC with a semi-matte finish, Solar 210 is heat-applied at a 210ºF for 15-20 seconds at medium pressure. It should be cut in mirror image and peeled cold.

The new Azon TexPro inkjet garment printer will produce full color images on light and dark colored T-shirts. To fix the ink, Azon uses a standard heat press. It uses textile pigmented inks, in standard 250ml cartridges. The eight-ink system can print CMYK and four whites, for printing white underlay when doing dark garments.

The Digital Knight DK20S 16"x20" Swinger heat press from Vastex now features an updated controller with a digital pressure gauge. An operator can instantly see if machine pressure has been properly set for every job. It is displayed via a pressure bar graph at the bottom of the screen.

Permaboss offers the new NGE7 or “Next Generation Embossing” machine — made for small businesses and home-based businesses. It runs on standard 120-volt power and is still 100% hydraulic like larger commercial machines. Made in Canada, this affordable solution ships with a good warranty

The Swinger heat press from Transfer Express is a workhorse with floating top platen that completely swings out of the way for a heat-free workspace. It can print oversize transfers in one step and with its platinum RTD heat sensor, it delivers consistent, even heating throughout the platen.

Colorprint II from Siser North America is digital roll goods for printer/cutters. The thin film material has a paper backing and, when applied to a garment, has a super soft hand yet is washable and durable. It can print full-color designs that can be heat-applied to cotton, polyester, and cotton/polyester blends
